Shimano Dura Ace WH-7801 Carbon tubular road cyclocross wheels CX tires mounted
You are looking at a pair of Shimano Dura Ace WH-7801 Carbon tubular road & cyclocross wheels. They are 700c with a Shimano 10 speed freehub body and weigh 2530 grams as pictured with tires and skewers. The front hub is a Dura Ace straight-pull with 16 bladed spokes. The rear hub is a Shimano Dura Ace straight-pull with an aluminum free hub body (10 speed Shimano cassettes only) and 20 bladed spokes. The front hub bearings are buttery smooth and the rear hub is a just starting to get a slight bit rough.
The front tire is a 33mm Clement LAS with lots of life left. The file tread is still sharp with plenty of grip. The rear is a brand-new 33mm Hutchinson Black Mamba CX. The skewers are alloy Shimano internal cam units and the included cassette is a cross course friendly 10 speed Shimano 105 11-28 tooth unit.
These wheels were used as race day wheels only and were only on the cross course 10 to 15 times a year (used for 4 seasons of cyclocross racing). They are in great shape for their age and have not been ridden in a few years. The braking surfaces show little wear and the rims are round and true within.
The rear rim does have a cosmetic blemish as pictured and the decals are a little rough. The tubular glue is in good condition still but I would always recommend checking the bond on a regular basis.
